Something to Hide

A recruiter cold called me yesterday and wouldn’t say the name of the company to which he was staffing a position. In fact, he wouldn’t share any specific information other than emailing a poorly written job description with a list of duties.

Why hide this information? And who in their right mind thinks it’s good business to cold call a candidate, ask all the questions and share barely any information in return?

I guess it’s a symptom of a problematic system that views job seekers as inferior, rather than peers.
